Family Productions: founded in the summer of 1997, is now into the 9th year of production. It is our intention to promote community within the growing Tribal-Nomadic-Dance-Movement. The events we host as a community both locally and nationally have become known as “Family Tribal Dance Collectives”.
Family Tribal Dance Collectives come in many forms and often defy definition.
However, they tend to share the following characteristics:
*Community building through Music, Theater, Art, Healing, and Dance
*Eco/Political Awareness is encouraged
*Gatherings are usually noncommercial and are often held outdoors
*Members are organized in a close-knit, family-like structure.
*Active participation by all who attend is requested
*Word-of-mouth is the primary promotion method
*Most importantly, they are dedicated to building a community that exists outside the context of the gatherings. This is also known as the Tribal-Nomadic-Dance-Movement
It is our belief that in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle there are some fundamental life experiences that are too often overlooked in our current society. Therefore the prime focus of our events is to encourage individuals of all ages and denominations to express themselves through co-creative Music, Art, Theater, Healing and Dance.
We have connected with so many wonderful people over the years.
